Bill

Thanks for your response.

It would be appropriate for your three organizations to make a formal submission to me as to the composition of the Common Voice Board and the representation by TWOMO on it.  That submission should have details on numbers and the structures of the existing organizations, as well as the rationale as to why 3 versis 1.

I have copied this to Paul Wolfe and Jered Zieroth who have been engaged by NOMA to facilitate the creation of the Common Voice Board.

Cheers

Hello Iain. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but I had to wait until the representatives that I know for the Thunder Bay District Unincorporated Ratepayers Association got home from out west.

The contact person for that group is Paul Hogan, RR# 1 Kaministiquia. P0T 1X0

Our Association is currently discussing your plans that you sent to us. We are more than a little concerned that the 3 municipal organizations + Thunder Bay city as well the 3 First Nations treaty groups each get a seat at the table but the 3 Unincorporated areas that are in the north are only allocated 1 seat. If you want your process to be truly representative, each unincorporated area (Kenora, Thunder Bay and Rainy River) should be allocated 1 seat each. Our Association would be more inclined to participate and support the process if this was brought into being.

Once our Association has made its final decision on whether or not to endorse this process, we are willing to apply to the MNDM for funding of the per capita membership since the Province is the collector of taxes for the unincorporated area.

We will keep in touch with you.
